Formed in 1947. Despite their name they
don't actually have any connections with royalty except
for their ability to attract bad publicity. The Holcombe
Hunt of beagling would be a fair description of the Royal
Rock Beagles, i.e. small in number and ageing ungracefully.

Hunt Country: They hunt both pasture
and uplands. The western boundary is the Conway Valley,
the southern boundary is the A5, the eastern boundary
is 4 miles east of Cheshire/Helsby with a small section
to the south west of the junction of the M56 and M6; and
the northern boundary of the sea. The original country
was extended westards after the Vale of Clwyd Beagles
disbanded in the early 1970s.
