We monitor hunts throughout the North West
to record incidents of hunt chaos and illegal hunting.
Our policy since hunting with hounds was
banned has been not to list which hunts we monitor. Our
reasons for this are simple:
- If you want a hunt to behave naturally you do not
make them aware they are being filmed.
- Hunts have more to lose if caught hunting illegalyl
so are even likely to resort to violence in order to
keep us away.
Almost every hunt in the North West is
refusing to publish their meets why? If they are not illegally
hunting why the secrecy? In this first full season since
the ban we are monitoring as many hunts as possible rather
than focusing on just a few. This is to determine which
are genuinely trying to work within the law and which
are deliberately breaking it. We have now a clear idea
of the policy of every hunt in the North West and will
continue to gather further evidence.
If you know of any hunt meets, whether
in the North West or anywhere in the UK please let us
know. Include as much detail as possible such as the time
of the meet and any areas where it is possible to get
a good view of the hunt.
