3.9.04: Horse and Hound Condemned

Anti-hunt campaigners have condemned Horse and Hound, a magazine for hunt supporters, for allowing its website forum to contain vile messages from hunt apologists.

Commenting on Steve Christmas, a hunt saboteur who was awarded £18,500 in Criminal Injuries compensation 4 years after he was attacked and nearly killed whilst trying to stop a cub hunt, a hunt supporter wrote on H&H, "he should of died lol only 3 (antis) have lost there lives is the bad news it should have been more id be happy then one less to worry about..the man who run him over should of got the money." This was followed by, "its his own fault for being were he should,nt (sic) of been sevres (sic) him right daft ****."

On the same thread another hunt supporter suggested, "perhaps we could fill a bus with sab's and send it over the edge" whilst another made a joked about Hilter trying to finish off the Jewish race.

Anyone who has had the misfortune to read any of the terrier forums (luckily most are now closed to the public) will be familiar with such mindless comments from hunt supporters. However, for Horse and Hound, who are meant to be the 'acceptable' face of hunting, to allow such posts is highly irresponsible.
